Places available on 2015 Physiotherapy degree!

There are places available for PFA members to enrol on the BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy at the University of Salford starting in September 2015.

The PFA support exclusive and discreet courses for current and former PFA members. The BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree at Salford is specifically tailored to fit around a player's timetable and is heavily subsidised by the PFA.

Pat Lally, Head of PFA Education: "The degree at Salford presents members with a great opportunity to embark on a long term career after they leave professional football.

"The playing career of a professional footballer is on average eight years and for many members it will be much shorter. For this reason, we encourage members of all ages to weigh up their options and plan an alternative career path as early as possible.

"The course has a fantastic employment record with 96% of Physiotherapy graduates going onto gain employment or pursue further study within 6 months of graduating.

"Job opportunities are not only restricted to the football industry, former members who have completed the course are currently working within the NHS, private practice and other sporting sectors."

The course benefits from dedicated and innovative teaching which is delivered from purpose built state-of-the-art technical and teaching facilities.

Graduates are eligible to become members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and can apply to be placed on the Health Professions Council’s register of physiotherapists.
