PFNCC - Professional Football Negotiating and Consultative Committee
In1978 the PFNC was established with equal representation of the PFA and the Football League under an independent chairman to meet on a regular basis and under this committee all matters affecting the game and players are discussed and no changes to a player’s conditions may be made without PFA agreement. This committee was renamed in 1992 to the PFNCC (Professional Football Negotiating and Consultative Committee) to include the Football Association and the newly formed Premier League.
PFCC - Professional Football Compensation Committee
The professional game's method for determining the amount of compensation payable for training and development of players under the age of 24 is through the Professional Football Compensation Committee (PFCC). The PFCC is incorporated under the rules of both The Football League and Premier League, and forms part of the collective bargaining agreement with the Professional Footballers' Association.
The FA Council consists of elected representatives, from the PFA, the FA Premier League, the Football League, County FAs, and the non-executive board of The Football Association. The council meets to decide the major policies of The FA, which is the governing body of English football.
PGMOL Technical Board - Professional Game Match Officials Limited
Professional Game Match Officials Limited, formed in 2001 to provide match officials for all Professional Football matches played in England. The board of PGMOL is made up of the Chief Executives of the Football Association, the Premier League and the Football League with a Non-Executive Chairman.
LFE – League Football Education
League Football Education, is a partnership set up by The Football League and The Professional Footballers’ Association to manage the Apprenticeship (AASE) programme at Football League Clubs.
PPL - Premier League Learning
The Premier League operates Premier League Learning (PLL) which was established in June 2004 to manage the apprenticeship in sporting excellence (ASE) for learners within the premier league.
PLPFA Community Fund
The Premier League Professional Footballers’ Association Community Fund empowers individual clubs to meet the needs of their local communities in key areas such as education, community cohesion, health and sports participation.
Football League Trust
The Football League Trust's role is to oversee Community and Youth Development activities at Football League clubs. Using the power of football The Football League Trust aims to make a difference to the lives of people by providing them with the best possible opportunities and recognising their achievements to inspire them both inside and outside of the game.
PFPS Trustees (Professional Footballers’ Pension Scheme)
The Professional Footballers Pension Scheme (“The Scheme”) provides valuable benefits for Registered Contract Players and their dependants during their playing career and after they leave or retire. The Scheme is administered by Trustees and its assets are completely separate from the Leagues’ normal business and assets.
The PFA is a member of FIFPro and is represented on the board. FIFPro is the worldwide representative organization for all professional players; more than 50,000 footballers in total. FIFPro exists since 1965 and currently has 43 members, 8 candidate members and 5 observers.
PPF – Professional Players Federation
Professional Players Federation, the national organisation for the professional player associations in the United Kingdom. There are over 15,600 professional sportsmen and women in Britain and the PPF is dedicated to promoting, protecting and developing the collective interests of these players.
