Established in 2008, the Sacred Sports Foundation Inc. is a leading Caribbean, non-governmental organisation based in Saint Lucia. Founded by the pioneering lower leagues manager, the late Keith Alexander, the politically and economically independent non-denominational charity is dedicated to creating exceptional youth and social development programmes through football, sports and physical activity.

SSF has successfully secured important grants from the EU,UNESCO, UNDP and the Australian  Government among others to deliver a range of innovative programmes. The former Lincoln City & Macclesfield Town manager’s Foundation is now shepherded by family members.

SSF programmes assist in tackling critical social issues of youth unemployment, child welfare, health and youth development, fostering increased community participation in socially inclusive sport, alongside efforts to promote positive gender awareness.

In 2013, SSF held its first major international gathering, the Sport in Black & White Conference and Youth Forum. The gathering of leading sport and social development actors was headlined by leading players, such as Jason Roberts and former Wimbledon and Jamaica captain Robbie Earle. It was supported by the UNDP, CARICOM and others. The Foundation has also become the first NGO from the English-speaking Caribbean to be accepted as a member of the influential streetfootballworld network.
